art theft alert
so an ebay seller is using my version of the ellie t-shirt and passing it off as their own
it’s this ebay seller alter_ego_productions http://t.co/bhoGMrWVcJ
My t-shirt http://www.redbubble.com/people/spazaroth/works/12008512-ellies-t-shirt
But how could you know that it’s exactly the same? Well, look at the damn palm trees.
They didn’t buy the shirt from me, they just printed out the design and ironed it on (which is why the design isn’t transparent on the t-shirt).
They have not credited me at all.
They are basically taking the money I should be earning.
I try to keep the price as low as possible because I know how frustrating it is to be a cosplayer with a low budget. If you really wanna know, I earn £1.30-£1.70 per t-shirt. That’s US $2.19-$2.87. The rest is Redbubble’s manufacturing fee.
I’m not happy. I was so excited when I found that photo because I thought that I was finally seeing a photo of what my design looks like in RL. Well, it is my design but, y’know, stolen.
I’m trying to tell myself that the joke’s on them because that design is the inaccurate one but…I’m still really sad.
So please, I’m begging you to not buy it from that ebay seller. I know it looks good because its been distressed, but please remember that at least 3/4s of the work was mine.
Please SIGNAL BOOST this!
This is a friend of mine. She deserves her credit so be wary.
